It’s been awhile since we heard anything about PVP in Ghost Recon Wildlands, and today, Ubisoft has revealed that it will be coming in the form of a free update, post launch to gamers.
The choice to not launch with multiplayer seems strange, but what is more strange is the fact that we are less than a week away from launch, and we have no information on the mode, besides the fact that it will be a “4v4 Tactical Experience”
This leaves a lot to desire when it comes to purchasing the title, when a lot of Ghost Recon fans have been clamoring for PVP, and not releasing information could potentially hurt sales.
A few things that I would like to see out of a Ghost Recon Wildlands PVP experience would be:
- One Life Game Mode. Close, small maps for intense engagements on a one life mode.
- Objective-Based gameplay. Extraction, Demolition and other objectives to drive the action.
- A wide range of maps, including urban, Jungle and Desert. The large map already has these locations, so this should be an easy one to accomplish
- Player & Clan Rankings with competitive focus
Ubisoft says that more info will be coming soon, but for now, here are my extended thoughts below. Keep up with Ghost Recon Wildlands news here on Digital Fire Games.
